MAC’s Soft & Gentle Mineralize Skinfinish ($34) gives a lit-from-within glow to the face, but you can get the same luminous look from the Wet ‘n’ Wild To Reflect Shimmer Palettes ($5.99) or the ELF Baked Blush in Pinktastic ($4), which is my favorite cheap highlighter - it gives such a pretty sheen! MAC Setting Spray Dupes: I’d recommend the NYX HD Concealer ($4.99) or the Sonia Kashuk All Covered Up Concealer ($9.98) for a similar finish and amount of coverage. Makeup artists and average folk alike have raved about MAC’s Pro Longwear Concealer ($24) for years, but there are cheaper options on the market. Cruelty-free companies include NYX and Milani - see our list of the best NYX products for more on this brand.) MAC Concealer Dupes:Īn amazing concealer, regardless of price. (Please note that neither Maybelline nor L’Oreal are entirely cruelty-free. L’Oreal’s True Match Foundation ($7.59) is another great option if you’re looking for that flawless base. Very little time to work with the product. We’re starting with MAC’s most-loved base product: The Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 ($30) provides an airbrushed matte finish and has notably high coverage.Ī great dupe for Studio Fix Fluid is the Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation ($7.99), which is just as long-lasting and shine-free for a fraction of the price. If you have dry lids – using this will not be easy. Will only come off when makeup remover is used.

Otherwise it is extremely difficult to use. But if you are like me and have super dry eyelids this product can only be applied on top of some eye cream or moisturizer. It is excellent for oily eyelids, because on application it becomes very matte and dry. Once on the skin, it has to be blended in immediately and one needs to be very quick while working with this product. One thing to note is that this is a very dry sort of formula. If you are uncomfortable with the idea of dipping your finger into the paint pot, you could scape out a thin layer using a small spoon or thin blade. Very little of this product is enough to apply a pigmented layer over both eye lids, so one pot will last a really long time. Also great is a brush with synthetic hair.

Swirl your finger a couple of times in the pot and pat it onto your eye-lid. The best way to work with this paint pot is to use your finger.

Kajals that normally would smudge like crazy on me, manage to stay defined and dark on me all day. If it is smudged close to the upper and lower lash line, it works as a great base for kohls and eyeliners. Any colour applied with painterly as a base appears much brighter and stays much longer. This product works brilliantly as an eye-shadow base. My favourite way to wear this product as an eye-shadow is with a satin finish brown or taupe in the crease. There is no creasing or caking at all.
